Our Studios

Sightlines Photography is located in two studio spaces inside the beautiful, historic Alman Block, right on Main Street in downtown Winnipeg. The building has been restored and is home to a small collection of creative businesses and artists.

Sightlines shares its almost 2000 sq ft of combined space in two studios with three other photographers. While we prioritize our shared need for the space and reserve the bulk of the available time for our valued clients, we do consider requests for rentals by other photographers on a case-by-case basis. In cases where I am able to share my space with you on a temporary or occasional basis, note that I will need to be there but in most cases I can work in the other room, or in my ‘office’ area and I will certainly be out of your way. Our studio furniture, V-flats, and some other items are included, and lights can be on request, though the baby & children props and related items and some other equipment are not available for use. Rental fees and policies will vary, an agreement will be in place, and all current & applicable COVID precautions must be followed, including any limits on number of people and any other related restrictions, gathering of contact information of any of your guests, etc.

Studio 1

Approximately 1600 sq. ft of total space, divided generally into a shooting area, and a lobby/viewing area; north-facing windows with natural bounce from the building next door, central heat & air conditioning, and other features. Shared bathroom in between the two studios.

Studio 2

Approximately 300 sq. ft of total space, divided into a small storage/staging area, and a shooting space. Huge east-facing window with sheer curtains and a movable scrim, central heat & air conditioning, and other features. Shared bathroom in between the two studios.
